MyCaption Speech to Text Application for BlackBerry

BlackBerry App Reviews:

How did you get into developing apps?

MyCaption.com Inc.:

MyCaption was founded in 2008, in response to a market need for a consistently accurate speech-to-text capability in Smartphones. We coined the phrase: “Voice Is the New Keyboard.”

BlackBerry App Reviews:

What was your inspiration for developing this app?

MyCaption.com Inc.:

The need was obvious because everyone was talking about it. We chose the BlackBerry smartphone to develop our first app, because its users represented the largest group of business users of smartphones, with an acute need for improving mobile productivity, and willingness to pay for it.

BlackBerry App Reviews:

What do you think users will like the best about your app?

MyCaption.com Inc.:

The peace of mind that comes from getting consistently accurate transcription of speech to text, even for dictation as long as 3 minutes. The deep integration with all productivity functions of the BlackBerry smartphone — email, memos, appointments, tasks, contact notes and text messaging.

BlackBerry App Reviews:

Are there any hidden features to the app?

MyCaption.com Inc.:

Not hidden, but to the first time users, it may not be apparent that the app can be configured to work with secure HTTP and the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

BlackBerry App Reviews:

Do you have any future plans for this app?

MyCaption.com Inc.:

In response to competition from iPhone and Android, the BlackBerry smartphone will evolve rapidly. We will keep pace with it, and keep getting better at what we do.

BlackBerry App Reviews:

Do you plan to develop any new apps? If so when can we expect to see them in App World?

MyCaption.com Inc.:

Instead, we would prefer to work with the app developer community, helping them enable their apps with our speech-to-text platform.
