BlackBerry App Reviews:

How did you get into developing apps?

Interchange Solutions Inc:

We began developing mobile applications 6 years ago as an extension to our on premise Enterprise CRM solution called Salesplace. Our first mobile extension was built using a competitive product to the BlackBerry, and resulted in many technical and implementation challenges. Five years ago we stopped developing on the competitor’s mobile platform and switched all of our Mobile development efforts over to the BlackBerry. That was one of the best business decisions we have ever made and we’ve never looked back.

BlackBerry App Reviews:

What was your inspiration for developing this app?

Interchange Solutions Inc:

Unlike Salesplace, which is an on-premise enterprise application built for large companies with in-house IT departments, SalesNOW is a hosted CRM application built for small to medium businesses. After our success with the Salesplace BlackBerry Edition, we recognized that there was a significant opportunity for a simple to use and economical hosted and mobile CRM solution built for smaller businesses that lack IT resources. So we developed SalesNOW, which was designed to allow sales reps to manage their sales activities, leads and deals, while automatically synchronizing all of the data to our secure hosted website for management analysis and reporting.

BlackBerry App Reviews:

What do you think users will like the best about your app?

Interchange Solutions Inc:

They like how SalesNOW integrates directly into the BlackBerry calendar, email, phone call and contact systems while also integrating with Microsoft Outlook. For example, all emails sent through the Blackberry can be associated to a contact, company and deal. This information is immediately accessible by the sales manager as it synchronizes to the hosted website with no additional steps required. The system allows the user to create call logs right from the BlackBerry recording the date and the time of the call automatically. Any meeting created on the hosted website automatically updates the user’s BlackBerry calendar.

BlackBerry App Reviews:

Are there any hidden features to the app?

Interchange Solutions Inc:

The integration of SalesNOW directly into the BlackBerry calendar, email, phone call and contact systems as well as the ability to add custom fields on your BlackBerry are two hidden features of our app.

BlackBerry App Reviews:

Do you have any future plans for this app?

Interchange Solutions Inc:

at WES we plan to launch our new Document Management system into SalesNOW. This system will allow users to send documents to their customers directly from their BlackBerry. Users will also be able to upload pictures from the BlackBerry right into the Customer’s records stored on the website. We will also be launching the integration with Push API, so that all notifications such as you have been assigned a new deal, a new case, or have a client meeting will be pushed instantly to the user’s BlackBerry with an immediate notification appearing.

BlackBerry App Reviews:

Do you plan to develop any new apps? If so when can we expect to see them in App World?

Interchange Solutions Inc:

we will be launching ServicesNOW in January 2010. ServicesNOW will target the Service Managers and their teams allowing for work ticket management with some excellent features such as creating a work ticket directly from an email that you have received on your BlackBerry. We are also planning on launching ProjectsNOW in June which will allow users to plan and mange Projects from their BlackBerry.
